1. WARRANTY COVERAGE

A. Standard Parts Warranty (Non-Engine/Transmission/Turbo)
30 Days Parts Only – Covers defects in materials or workmanship (labour not included).

• Excludes damage caused by other components, improper installation, or misuse.
• No coverage for damage from accidents, modifications, aftermarket ECU use, or poor maintenance.
• Freight costs are not included under warranty claims.

B. Engine & Transmission Warranty (Case-by-Case Basis)
Silver Engine Warranty (If Specified at Purchase) – 3 Months Parts Only, Unlimited Kilometers.

• Long Block Only – Includes engine block and cylinder head(s).
• Accessories NOT covered (manifolds, sensors, pumps, injectors, wiring, etc.).
• These parts are included only for testing and sold "as-is".
• Heat Tabs Installed – Warranty void if tampered or melted.

C. Turbochargers
No standard warranty – sold "as-is" unless otherwise stated in writing.

2. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does NOT cover:

• Engines, transmissions, or turbos (unless a written warranty is provided).
• Damage due to incorrect fluids, overheating, or external factors.
• Aftermarket ECU use, modifications, or non-standard parts.
• Normal wear and tear, corrosion, or storage damage.
• Labour, freight, or reinstall/removal costs.

3. CLAIM PROCESS

• Immediate Notification: Report defects within 48 hours of discovery.
• Proof Required: Original invoice and evidence of proper installation/maintenance.
• Resolution: We may repair, replace, or refund (parts only).
• Inspection: All defective parts must be returned for verification.

4. STATUTORY RIGHTS (CGA)

This policy does not limit your rights under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If a part is not of “acceptable quality” or “fit for purpose,” you may seek legal remedies under New Zealand law.

5. DISPUTES & GOVERNING LAW

Unresolved issues may be referred to the NZ Disputes Tribunal or Commerce Commission. All disputes are governed by New Zealand law.

Buyer Acknowledgment:
By purchasing from Sky Auto Parts, the buyer agrees to these terms. Engines, transmissions, and turbos are not covered unless a separate written warranty is provided.
